Code Fix: Using REST Service Broker to modify a REST Service Instance results in a timeout error

Issue Description

When you use the REST Service Broker via a Custom API to modify a REST Service Instance, a timeout error occurs during the Generate SmartObject process.

Error Message:

The following error occurs: “10:14:58","Error","SmartObjects","10702","Error","SourceCode.SmartObjects.ServiceBroker [ExecuteSmartObject]","10702 An error occurred in the K2_Management Service Instance. System.Exception: SmartObject Server Exception: Execution Timeout Expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.. SmartObject: [TestSmartObject]”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

  • K2 Five (5.4) March 2022 Cumulative Update Fix Pack 04.

 

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
