Code Fix: Upgrading from K2 blackpearl (4.7) to K2 Five (5.5) breaks OData web service instances

Issue Description

When you upgrade from K2 blackpearl (4.7) to K2 Five (5.5), and you have an existing OAuth configuration for an OData web service instance, as soon as the token needs to get created after authorizing the API, the step fails and an error occurs.

Error Message:

The following error occurs: “Authorization not successful. Exception details: OAuth Error: Code=unauthorized : Description=The format of value 'K2HostServer_OAuth:[Server Name]' is invalid.”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

 

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
