Code Fix: ‘Incorrect syntax’ error occurs

Issue Description

When you attempt to get worklist items with specific criteria and go over the 4000-character limit, you receive an error.

Error Message:

The following error occurs: “Incorrect syntax near ')'.

Must declare the scalar variable '@User'.

Incorrect syntax near the keyword 'with'. If this statement is a common table expression, an xmlnamespaces clause or a change tracking context clause, the previous statement must be terminated with a semicolon.”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

 

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
