Anything in the developer console?

I think that Salesforce does not allow override of the user VIEW action.  They do allow override of the user Edit view (which is what the EditUserView custom button allows).  So if you want to control the view of the user profile,  you’ll have to avoid using standard salesforce navigation and use custom links to your skuid page.
