Update static resource of type application/json with REST

I have a static resource  text file which contains JSON formatted text and want to use skuid to update this file as a webservice call, 

I can see that there are multiple ways to connect to salesforce REST API in “Model services” section, but not sure about which way is the best.


How could I do this?
What is the best way to update a static resource file using skuid UI?
