I am having trouble with the Event’s tab from showing any results for the Account Detail and the Contact Detail pages, as copied from the repository.

    Do events show in standard layouts?  This is almost always going to be an object level security issue,  or a lack of data issue.

    The issue is a lack of data showing up.
