Issue with child template field not loading on requery

I have a table based on the Account standard object. I have Contacts that are children of the Accounts (as per usual Salesforce set up). I add a Child template field to my Accounts Table to display all child Contacts. Works perfectly on page load. If, however, I try to search, filter or “load more” the child template field for all rows empties. Basically if I do anything that requires the model, it doesn’t requery the children.
