Allow for conditional rendering of the export button on tables so we can regulate who can export data from the table. This idea comes from this question: https://community.skuid.com/t/export-button-rendering-permission
It would be great to be able to set a home page in Skuid. Right now I’ve bookmarked pages using my browser but I feel like it should be easy to do using the personalization framework.
It would be really, really helpful if we could have the Org Name displayed somewhere prominent on these pages - perhaps to the left of “Composing” and “Pages” in the page titles so it doesn’t disappear off the screen when you scroll…Would do it myself but we can’t edit the pages in the Skuid module!
We are close to releasing a full Skuid built CPQ application. One concern is multiple people looking at or making changes to a quote at the same time and not knowing it. Our old CPQ system warned you that someone was also viewing your quote at the same time, so changes might be overridden.Exactly the same thing that is being done in the Skuid page builder - when it shows who is currently viewing. Even better, it shows when they have made a change to the page.Anyone know how I can warn my users that someone else is viewing their record at the same time?
As all skuid users know, we can show/hide App Composer by clicking a tiny button. I don’t think when one will this, atleast, i never come across using it ?Most of the time, i work on ‘App Composer’, either configuring Model, Writing Snippet, CSS, Labels, etc… So, if its possible to open ‘App Composer’ to full screen… it would be a great idea…
This is a request, not a question. The only page I can find that attempts to document aggregate models is the tutorial () and it only covers the basics. How do you work with multiple groupings? How do you (can you) group on reference fields/objects? Why do the references in the tutorial talk about using the “computer-y” generated names, when a page actually wants the underlying field api name? What is the difference between a basic and a rollup grouping method? Can I produce a HAVING clause in the aggregate query? Some of the answers I know, and some I don’t, but they are examples of what should be in skuid’s documentation that does not require searching the community pages.
Found a really cool app thought i’d share it with the world. CloudHQ it offers free syncing from one cloud to another. Why is this important?? we all need backups, never know, companies go bankrupt, go down, data gets stolen/damaged/corruptedYou need another source for your files in case as insurancesometimes having another backup is easier to access- in this case email references is easier to search through attachments in gdrive than gmailSuggest you try it out for free, they have a completely free account that limits only at 4GBcloud hq can sync up and backup all kinds of cloud accounts, gmail, google accounts, g drive, salesforce, just about anything even contacts, anything just about, you can backup and sync, google drive, drop box, box, office 365, one drive for business, amazon cloud drive, amazon s3, webdav, sugar sync, box for businesss, email like gmail, office 365, outlook, fastmail, yahoomail, icloud mail, salesforce, evernote, basecamp, google contacts google calender,
Not sure if this is something that can be done with js, but here’s what I’m trying to achieve that could be an idea for skuid. For those of us developing skuid pages for end users, its easy to forget the end users we are building these pages for are not in the backend making the impossible, possible. And most of the time, the end user really doesn’t care, they only care that it does what its suppossed to do. I am fine with this, why bore them with snippets, bugs, etc. So, what happens next is launching the finished product and asking for feedback on anything they may seem wrong. Everyone agrees, as everyone is happy the project has finally been rolledout. Well, 49 skuid pages later, countless models, components, this and that are all in the mix, but you got it all under control, except for one thing we don’t have control of, the end users promise to provide feedback when something goes wrong on their end. In reality, they don’t have time to sit there, screenshot, document, and write u
Think of how great life would be if every component had the option to set its display state in one of three flavors based on URL parameter. Then, in many cases, you would only have to build one page and in the URL add a parameter like &Display=Edit &Display=ReadEdit &Display=ReadOnly Perhaps you should just make that default functionality for all components. If the URL parameter of Display exists in the URL, then the component respects its value. If the parameter is not there, then the component respects the setting on the component.
Please be advised of an issue regarding challenges with installing or upgrading any version of Skuid running on top of the Salesforce Spring 17 release. At this point, only Sandboxes and Preview Orgs are running Spring 17. What does this mean for my organization? If your org is NOT on Spring 17, you are not affected and can install or upgrade your Skuid version without any problems. If your org IS on Spring 17: Already have Skuid installed? You are good to go and can keep working with your Skuid pages without issue. You will receive an error message only if you try to upgrade your Skuid version. Do not have Skuid installed? Unfortunately, you will receive an error message and you will not be able to install Skuid for the time being. A critical case has been opened with Salesforce regarding this issue and they expect to have it resolved soon. We will update the community once the root cause is identified and fixed and when Skuid can be installed or upgraded in Spring 17 orgs. Where do I
In subqueried model rows, allow UI only fields. My use case is to add a custom formula that formats the currency in a user friendly way.
With our recent Brooklyn release, we are proud to acknowledge the latest community champions:Chandra VerrettShmuel KamenskyThese members have been amazing in helping overcome problems in the community. Thank you for the challenging questions that have helped us improve Skuid as a product. By bringing known issues to our attention and sharing workarounds with other members, you have helped the Skuid community to grow as a valuable source for solutions. We can’t thank you enough, you guys rock!!!
Currently, there is no officially supported way to force a formula to re-calculate. Coupled with the fact that there are several scenarios that should result in formulas automatically re-calculating but do not, providing an officially supported way to force them to re-evaluate would help close this gap.For example, let’s say Model A has a formula field that uses MODEL_LOOKUP to Model B. When Model B changes, the formula field on Model A does not update. Ideally this would occur automatically but by providing a way to force a re-calc, model events could be hooked on Model B to programmatically force Model A to re-evaluate formula fields. This issue will become even more prevelant with the introduction of custom formulas. The “Ask”:1) Document skuid.model.Model.evaluateFormulaFields - This evaluates all formulas in all rows for a given model2) Document skuid.model.Model.evaluateFormulaField - This evaluates a single formula field on a specified row3) Add support for forcing evaluation
There are times when the UI should have the ability to save every change on change.
I have been charged with “learning” how to work with Skuid on Salesforce at work with a sight to implementing it for a few client projects, and indeed being able to recommend it going forward for other projects that fit it’s features.Having only encountered Skuid before as a Mini-hack in the Developer Zone at Dreamforce in maybe 2012 or 2013, and I have to say I was really skeptical because my experience of it back then was, well basically crap! 😃 )
Auto generated conditions are wonderful. You never have to worry about when to turn them on or off. They are especially nice in date ranges, where you used to need to conditionally deactivate the beginning or end condition depending on whether or not the user populated the beginning/end filter (using UI only fields to populate filter conditions). Could we have the same auto generated conditions for number/currency fields via the filterset component please?
Would be nice if we could mention users in posts to get their attention on a topic we know they’re interested in. Something to the tune of ‘@’ annotation sending them a notification if they opt-in for those kind of notifications
Would like to see the following regarding “Branching”1) Ability to return to the “main line” of the action sequence when branch formula evaluates to true and the “true actions” have all completed. This would provide for scenarios like "if (true) then set field to “ABC” but then continue for actions like “save model”, etc from the main line. As it stands, it would take duplicate sequences (one in the main line and one in the branch) to accomplish this. For example, a way to accomplish the following:if (true) { … stuff…}… more stuff…2) Ability to have separate “true” and “false” paths. Similar to above, sometimes you might want to evaluate a condition and set a field value to “ABC” or “XYZ” but then continue back in the main line. if #1 was implemented, you could have two “branch” actions (one for the “ABC” case and one for the “XYZ” case) but having separate paths for true/false makes it much more intuitive as to what i trying to be accomplished. For example, a way to accomplish
The new branching logic in the action framework is a welcome addition, thank you!!Beyond the current “Formula” evaluation, would like to see the ability to call a snippet that would return true/false (similar to “Snippet returns true” in rendering conditions). Often times, merge syntax and/or UI-only formulas are not enough to evaluate the criteria required.A workaround would be to call a snippet before the branch to set a field on a model/row and then use that in the branch formula but being able to call a snippet directly would simplify the design, make it more intuitive to someone reviewing the page and eliminate a “tracker” model as well as the unnecessary model processing overhead just to set a true/false value.Thank you!
Hello - In the Brooklyn release, a number of issues were resolved related to ensuring that model data was correctly updated on components as data in the model changed. As an example, Field Editor Section labels, Queue labels, Field editor labels, etc. Unfortunately, when triple mustache syntax is used on those same elements, model data is not updating when it changes. For example, if {{{Name}}} is used instead of {{Name}}, as the “Name” of an account changes, the other components that display that value do not update. Note that if a standard template component is used, the template component updates regardless of triple or double syntax which would be the expected behavior. The related community posts are: Queue labels do not update when model data changes Field Editor Section Title does not update when model data changes Field Editor labels built using merge syntax do not update when model changes occur Steps to reproduce: 1) Create page using sample XML below 2) Preview page 3
I really like the new option in Brooklyn to populate a UI only Picklist from rows in a model. But I have discovered that the Picklist values (from a different model) are populated on page load and are not updated when the model changes or is required. Is this accurate? I’m attempting to adjust the values in my UI only picklist when the additional model conditions are activated. I’ve tried to requery both the source model and the model that contains the UI only picklist. But either way the values stay as they were on page load. I’ve also tried to do the populate the picklist from a snippet and have the same problem…Anyway to have Skuid re-populate the UI only picklist values when the model is requeried? Appreciate any helpAndy
Is there a way to load a model or models after the page has been loaded? I have a sidebar with 4 different models in it for easy access to items for my team, problem is that if those 4 models load initially, it really slows the page down. I created a button to “Load Sidebar” but users are not using it, thus the sidebar has become pretty useless. What method can I take to load the models after the rest of the page has finished loading, thus not slowing down the initial page load, and still providing the data to users?
Been tearing it up with some rants as of late, but that’s because you guys are pushing the envelope! You literally blew my mind with Skuid Native, and it feels as though it’s only the tip of the iceberg of whats to come.I’m more than grateful for the opportunities made possible because of Skuid. Solutions I could’ve never tackled in the past are almost always possible with it. And now with Skuid Native, I’m really having a hard time justifying the need to diversify my service offerings in case of finding it hard to find work using Skuid. I still will, but you make it hard doing so.To all of you at Skuid, I am truly impressed with what you’ve been able to do in such a short period of time. Thank you again! 😃
This was posted as a question here but need to be an idea. When copying components within a page, it would be great if the uniqueId could be set by button.I know I could just alter it, but this isn’t a perfect bullet proof solution. You know what would be the perfect solution above all else… Copy & Paste in the Page Builder!!!
As per title. 😃
