Is there a way to save just the selected row from a row action?I have a situation where a user is entering values in a table that is in edit mode, and as they go down the list, they may encounter a situation where they need to save just one row in the table, without saving the whole model, because we want to refresh the model to show new child records, and save that row, but can’t save the whole model due to required fields not being filled out.
I have a template field in a table that displays 3 fields with some HTML. Can I limit the maximum number of characters displayed ?
I am trying out Skuid for Salesforce and creating a proof-of-concept demo for my bosses. I am trying to query records related to another record via a condition and am running into issues. My current structure is: Rfq - (child) Parameters - (child) RFQ/Quote Materials I am wanting to return the RFQ/Quote Materials records in a “drawer” under the Parameter record. There can be N:Parameter Records for every 1 RFQ. And, N:RFQ/Quote Materials records for every 1: Parameter Records. This is my condition under my RFQ/Quote Materials record: When I view the RFQ/Quote Materials record under the associate Parameter I do not get the correct associated record: The “Related Parameter” record should not be Silo to Use Bins. It should be Use Bins to JBC. What am I missing? I have had great success using this type of condition logic on other records. I simply cannot get this one to work correctly.
I have added a Chart to a Skuid page. One of the field displayed in the chart is a currency field. We are a Multi Currency org, I have noticed that the currency field in the chart is being shown as default currency but without convention.Does anyone know what I should do to resolve this? I would like to the currency to be converted or shown in its original value. Thanks
We have users that are typing a value for a double in a field editor. They decide that they would no longer like a value in that field and remove the number with backspace. When they save the row, the value that they deleted is still in that row.I am implementing a complete hack to null the value when they press backspace using key press events, so a bug fix or a work around would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I am having a permissions issue of some sort. I am setting up an org and I can access everything without issue. All other users, however can’t access Skuid pages though overrides. They have access to the VF pages which use skuid redirect. I have org default page assignments which work for me, but other users are getting bounced to the standard salesforce pages. They can navigate to the skuid page directly via URL, so they have access to the page. For some reason they are getting bounced from the page assignments. I can’t figure out what permission they don’t have that they need. Can anyone help?
Is there a way to add a field renderer to a template component? I need to run a custom snippet to open a drawer when a new row is added to a table, but all of my table fields are templates. Is this possible? Is there maybe a more direct approach?
I’m trying to override my Home page using page assignments for specific users, not based on profile. But, the profile of these users already has a Home page assignment - I just want to override that homepage for specific users. If I do it through the Setup–> Home Page Layouts level,I have to give it to everyone with that Profile, which I don’t want to do. Any suggestions? I’m using the following VF Markup, which I think is where the problem lies: <apex:page showHeader=“false” sidebar=“false”> <skuid:page objectType="HomePage" actionType="Tab" page="HomePageCSM-MGR__cBK"/> </apex:page> I've been following this guide: http://help.skuidify.com/m/supercharge-your-ui/l/117747-reclaim-the-salesforce-home-page#A.-Create-your-Visualforce-Page-that-redirects-to- Do I need a different VF markup if using page assignments? Any help would be greatly appreciated
I’m trying to use the idea in this post to pull values when an account field is updated into a page that will be used to create a custom object, but am getting mixed results. Ultimate goal is to pull in values from a multi-select picklist from the account object, but for now, I’m just trying to understand what is happening. Here’s a subset of Barry’s code from the post above. skuid.snippet.registerSnippet('handleAccountChange', function(field, value) { console.log(field.row); var acctCity = field.model.getFieldValue(field.row, 'Account.BillingCity') , acctCountry = field.model.getFieldValue(field.row, 'Account.BillingCountry') , formulaValue = acctCity + ' ' + acctCountry; // update the formula field with the new value field.model.updateRow(field.row, 'TestFormula\_\_c', formulaValue); }); Output of console.log(field.row) shows BillingCity and BillingCountry associated with the object Here’s the code in my page:
I have a fairly complex page, but I am trying to create Page Title Buttons to cancel changes made to specific models in the page. I am finding that sometimes the button cancels the change, but in other instances, the first click does not seem to take, and I have to click Cancel again. After clicking it the second time, everything looks as it should. What can cause this behavior?
I have a table in skuid. It has a date/time field in it. The date time field shows a format like this 3/17/2015 4:26 pmWhat do I need to type into the skuid table search box to find the record with this date/time?
I am trying to create a new search box because I need it to be positioned on the side of my table not inside of the table. So far the search component works ok but I can’t get it to show all results in a given table only 1 result. There is a “View” button at the object level of the search that could work. When you click “view” a popup table appears with all results. Is it possible when you click “view” it filters a specific table instead of having a popup?
We are deploying search components all over, but with our users actually using them now we are running into an issue. When a user is typing in a keyword, the search component returns 5 matches. If they want to see more matches, they click on “View” and it pops up a table of possible matches that they like - so they can pick which one they want. Problem is… when they see the “one” they want, how do they click on it and make it be the selected one… which then fires off the Select actions that are defined on the search component? In many cases, the name is the first item in the returned object records. So, on the view pop up they see the hyperlink on the table and click it, and end up going to the detail page of the record, which makes them not love us. Also, the table that pops up has ALL the selected fields on the return object, some of which we use in select actions - but not something the user needs to see. See attached for an example. Thanks!
Hi,Here is what I am trying to implement :I need to bring multiple object data into a single table called catalogue.I have a wrapper class which will give the data I need to show as a catalogue in a table.I am calling my controller method to get the list of entries from wrapper, from inline JS snippet and got JSON and able to display rows in Skuid table.now, how do I set filters on this data rows (which are being created dynamically from JavaScript on page load)Any ideas on how to make the filters work on this dynamic rows in the table ?
I’ve create a model that access a rest service created in Salesforce. I’m able to retrieve all data from the model without issue. The problem I am having is that whenever I attempt to use a URL Merge Condition based on the Service URL Skuid seems to break. Whenever I attempt to preview the page I get a dialog box for the parameter field but there’s no way to enter the parameter. When I try to view the page Skuid page instead I receive an error message that states the error text can’t b e found. At this point I’m stuck. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
I’m attempting to use the Model_Lookup function on 2 aggregate models. The first model is OpenInvoice that groups by owner and sums the invoice amount. The second model is Retainage that groups by owner and sums the retained amount. I had to create a different model for Retainage because it has different conditions. I am trying to use the Model_Lookup on the Open Invoice model to show the Retained amount. The formula is returning numbers, but when I compare a table of the Retainage model to the Model_Lookup UI-Only field in the OpenInvoice model some of the owner’s retained amounts are different. The Model_Lookup formula is: MODEL_LOOKUP(“Retainage”, “sumRetainageHeldc”, “OwnerNames”, {{Owner}}) Where OwnerNames = grouping by owner name on the Retainage model and Owner = grouping by owner name on the OpenInvoice model. This is the comparison of what is returned: I’ve verified that the right hand column, which contains a table of the Retainage model is indeed correct. Does anyone have a
We’ve been interested in this feature for a while now and wanted to ask if it was possible. Something that would show record associated chatter items in a table. That could be organized by creation date for a duration of time.Is it possible?
I’ve been using the Redirect and Page Assignments approach since I started using Skuid. I’ve never had issue with it until I wanted more control of how the page is presented. Using the Visualforce component, skuid:page, approach has many reasons TO use it instead. Are there any reasons NOT TO to use it other than the following: initial cloning of VF pages ExportData, UploadImage & Include The "Tab to Override", "Show Header" and "Show Sidebar" properties in your Skuid Pages are ignored. Tags on need to be set. These to me seem insignificant to the gains in using the component. Thoughts?
Hi , I am new to Skuid. Would like to know how can we specify table heading I tried searching for the same in table related properties but couldn’t find any property related to the same.
When a Model is used as an option source and the model contains a subquery condition, the condition value is not being applied correctly. The first time the condition has the correct value, but subsequent searches on the same field do not reflect the current condition value (it always remains what it was the first time). Scenario Explained: User is choosing a field value for Field A on Model #1. User is choosing a field value for Field B on Model #2. The filter for Field B is based on a junction object where rows are retrieved that contains Field B but also contain Field A. Steps to reproduce: Create page using XML below Preview page Click the “Parent Account Id” field mag glass Expected Behavior = Actual Behavior The list of available accounts to choose from are correctly filtered on the current accounts Owner. Only accounts that hvae the same owner are returned Change the Owner Id field to another user Click the “Parent Account Id” field mag glass Expected Behavior The list of ac
When a row is created in a component that has context, the “__c” field value is different than the “__r” field that is being established. This is due to the target model having a filterable condition and based on the condition value that was last established. That said, since the “__c” field value is correct and the component has context, the “__r” should match the “__c”. Notes This might be the same as https://community.skuid.com/t/r-field-of-condition-field-not-being-set-when-creating-… but since it presents differently, I’m logging it separately If you repeat the same steps but choosing an account with Contacts for Step #3, the problem does not seem to occur. Steps to reproduce: Create page using XML below Preview page Expand row for an account that does NOT contain contacts Click “Add New” Inspect skuid.$M(‘Contact’).data[0] Expected Behavior AccountId equals Account.Id Actual Behavior AccountId is correct but Account.* does not exist (see https://community.skuid.com/t/r-field-of
With a model marked to process client side, when a new row is created based on a condition applied against a “reference” field, the “__r” field of the model is not being set. This only seems to occur when the model that the new row is being created in has no rows that currently meet the condition. Notes I recall a similar situation to this a while back where if the target model was empty, the “__r” wasn’t being set properly. I scoured the community but couldn’t find that issue/discussion. I recall that scenario being addressed however. If the model is marked to NOT process client side, the problem does not occur Steps to reproduce Create page using XML below Preview page picking an account that has at least one contact Expand the account drawer to see the contacts Click “Add New” Inspect skuid.$M(‘Contact’).data[0] Expected Behavior = Actual Behavior Model row contains “Account__r” and all Account fields defined on Model Preview page picking an account that has NO contacts Expand th
Let’s Consider Accounts and Contacts. I have a table which shows a list of Contacts. When a new row for Contact is created then an user has an option to either select an existing account or add new account details. And on save account should get saved and the contact should get linked with this Account. Can you please suggest how can I achieve this?
I am repurposing the script. Currently it only pulls the first row but I need it to pull all rows in the aggregate. I have tried getting it to work but all my changes break it. I need to go through and sum two different fields and then I will do some math with the totals. This currently works with the first line in the aggregate but I need it to total all lines in the aggregate. Here is the script. //COMPONENT NAME is what you put in the custom page element 'component type' property.&nbsp;<br>skuid.componentType.register('TotalMargin',function(element){ &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>var $ = skuid.$;<br>var m = skuid.model.getModel('InvoiceLine'); &nbsp;//Name of your model<br>var row = m.getFirstRow(); &nbsp; &nbsp;//Using an aggregate model that only returns one row.&nbsp;<br>//Field name from your aggregate model<br>var cost = row.sumCost;&nbsp;<br>var total = row.sumTotalDue;<br><br><br&
I have a custom object and I am trying to use its corresponding share object to share the record. If I do it in a field editor and I manual enter values in the picklist fields for Access Level and Row Cause, it works as expected. If, however, I create a condition to force a value into Access Level and Row Cause, the conditions do not work to populate the fields. I tried leaving the fields out of the field editor thinking that might help, but I get an error upon save because Access Level and Row Cause are missing. Anyone have any experience with this?
