I have created a table long back but when I recently visited the table, I have found that drop-down filter on table is being displayed as Text box, not sure what might be the reason. This appears to be random as other filters(drop down) are working fine.

Hi,
By default if there is more than 25 items in picklist, the filter Will transform to auto complete instead.
You can change that setting in the filter’s property
