Child relationships get lost after querying models on popup close actions

I have a Model which has child relationships and I am displaying those values in a template field in a table.

On page load everything gets displayed fine. Then I can open a popup to edit some fields (not on the child relations).

On the After close actions I query all the models again but then the the child relation template fields don’t have anything in there anymore.
