Can I trigger row action from a snippet?

I currently have a row action for opening up a popup when the item needs to be shipped. Instead of the small icon for row action I want a button “Ship” to show up in its own column which when clicked will run the action added for row action. I am able to show the button in a separate column using custom renderer for a field, but not sure how to trigger the row action from that snippet.
