Automatic Filter doesn't create __autofilter_..." condition. Issue when using model action "Model C"

I’m using a master “condition” model to control a series of other models. Everything works great except that I can’t trigger a model action based on a “Model Condition Changed” for automatically created condition that only shows up on page render.
