Nintex Apps has a search component that can be configured in a number of ways. You may want to set up an action flow that takes the user's search term and uses it for other things, like populating tables or lists in the page.
Instructions
First, in Page Designer pages, there is a bit of XML we need to add to the search component for the enter/return keystroke to be captured. If you add the bold attribute as below to your search component's XML, then the action flows you set up for the enter/return keystroke actions will be triggered:
<skuid__search uniqueId="sk-tJA-10222" tokenizeSearch="false" runSearchOnEnter="true">
Second, to use the search component to populate other tables, you can use this global merge variable to grab the search value that the user has entered in the search box:
{{$Component.mySearch.searchValue}}
Use the search component's keystroke actions to trigger an action flow. The action flow should pass {{$Component.mySearch.searchValue}} (replace 'mySearch' with your search component's unique id) into all necessary model conditions on your tables' models, then query the models. You will probably want to use the 'starts with' or "contains" operator in those conditions.
Additional Information
Also note that other components like Filters and Tables can have slightly different built-in search boxes, if activated. You may wish to leverage these instead of the Search component depending on your use-case.
