On some machines, I am unable to install RPA. I get the error "ERROR READING SETUP INITIALIZATION FILE" from the InstallShield Wizard. I cannot find documentation to resolve this error.

This is most likely due to your permissions in installing apps on that machine or virus protection. See more details on Microsoft Customization Tools or custom tools installer file. Here is an example for a custom installation but the symptoms are the same. Please also check with your IT department on any virus protection protocols that may exist on all machines within your domain.
