“Preview Unavailable” when targeting or editing an action

Issue

When targeting or editing an action the screen displays "Preview Unavailable".

 

Resolution

Foxtrot will only display a preview of the target if it is visible on the screen. Verify that the target is indeed on the screen. If you continue to receive this error, at least one of the following is true:
 
  • You’re being blocked from communicating with the browser. This might be due to a security blanket atop of Internet Explorer. Typically, you can see a custom icon on the address bar to confirm this.
  • There is a Windows update that is preventing Foxtrot from interacting with Internet Explorer. Try following these steps if using IE 11.
  • Something is unique about the Action – verify that there is no unique information within the Advanced Tab of the Action (something that may change from record to record).
