Issue
With the introduction of version 17.8 of Nintex Bot we have added a new feature that is located in the Tools menu in the bar at the top of Bot. It is called Convert Actions. This feature will convert the targeted actions in an old botflow from Internet Explorer to Edge or Chrome, Chrome to Edge or Edge to Chrome.
This feature is designed to convert approximately 80% of your botflow successfully but there are a few things you need to know.
Additional Information
After converting:
- A new Task will appear on the right side of the bot that is named New Task_Chrome (or Edge as appropriate)
- RPA may jump back to the old task which is named New Task so to avoid confusion, right after converting, please change the name to something that indicates that this is the old task you converted from.
- Any Open App, Open Chrome or Open Edge actions will not be converted. They must be recreated. The main change in the Open App will be in the details page under the field named "Path." If you do not recreate the action, RPA will open the app in the old browser and the actions that were targeted will not work.
- Please note that RPA will disable the Detect IE action in the converted botflow. Once the botflow is running as intended, this action may be deleted. Otherwise RPA will just ignore it.
