If you want to remove the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 because it is deprecated by Microsoft, follow the steps below.

**Note, we do not support the 64 bit office version of Microsoft Access 365 Runtime. If you have the 64 bit version, it will not work. Also installing the 64 bit version with the Quiet switch will not work.

Instructions

This is the Microsoft page that has the download for the Microsoft Setup for the Microsoft Access 365 Runtime.

Download and install Microsoft 365 Access Runtime - Microsoft Support

Download the 32 bit of Office.

By default, when Office 365 is installed, the default is 32 bit unless indicated otherwise. Ensure you select the correct language before downloading.

After this you will have a setup.exe downloaded. Run the setup.exe and this will pull the necessary files for the Microsoft Access 365 Runtime from the Microsoft CDN. It takes roughly 5-8 minutes to fully download.

Also to note, the Microsoft Access Database Engine redistributable and Access 365 Runtime can both exist on the same machine with no conflicts.
