When using an emulator, if you receive an error that target is not found or while running the botflow, the emulator cannot be found, it could be because of the zoom settings on the workstation. Even if RPA is running on a remote desktop, if the local machines zoom settings are not at 100%, the targeting tool will not work correctly. 

 

You can see if it is not working correctly by trying to target and watch to see if the tool and where it is targeting are not at the same point. See below:

Instructions

To check/adjust computer settings:

**Please note: if you have multiple displays, you may need to hold Windows Key + P to change to PC Screen Only and then check/change the setting. 

 

  • Type "Display" into the search bar on the bottom left of your computer.
  • Choose "Change the Resolution of the Display."
  • In "Scale and Layout" section, make sure setting is at 100%

 

Additional Information

If you have the IBM iAccess Emulator, the toolbars cannot be showing on your emulator.

 

To remove them:

On the View menu, UNCHECK the Toolbar and Status Bar options.

The Emulator window should now appear with no Toolbar or Status Bar:

Warning: This step must be performed AFTER the Toolbar and Status Bar are turned off.
On the View menu, UNCHECK the Menu option.
