How to send separate email messages to contacts from an Excel sheet?
First of all, you need to split the contacts if you want each of them to receive a separate email. To do that, use the split command. Afterward, you need to create a loop that checks the value in the variable that stores the email addresses and sends the wizard to the correct action accordingly (Send an email if the variable contains something/Doesn’t send if not). To make it happen, do one of the following: Use a loop command that sends the email to each employee as long as the variable that stores the email address is Not empty. Create a loop and let it run between two steps using an If Else command. Check out Kryon Academy, especially the Email Commands module from the Using Advanced Commands course. The demos there describe the same action suggested above: http://academy.kryonsystems.com.
Record the Application: Add Advanced Commands at the end of each step
When you add advanced commands to a recorded step, you should always add them to Step End. By doing so, the application has time to load and you can be sure that the robot won't waste time on looking for the application it has to run the commands on. The default of Step End is to 'Go to Next Step'. When you have a core action, you'll always see it between Step Start to Step End.
Best Practices for Automation
Recording rules:• 100%DPI.• When using visual approach make sure to use commonly DPIs used (By users) resolution • If the screen sizes are not the same make note and plan accordingly • Don’t ever define a web browser as an application.Windows rules: • Try to be as specific as possible regarding window deduction.• Don’t put a long wait time for finding a window as this will keep the bot ideal until that period is over.• If you use a visual action in your flow don’t add the visual command to your window tab.Advanced commands:• Always at the end of the step.• There are ADC which you can’t use in a ADC step (Because they require a visual step)Detectable Objects:• It must be static.• It must be unique • It must at least 3 letters long.Offsets:• Keep the distance from the detectable object to a minimum • Don’t overlap your offset with your detectable object • Make sure that the distance between your detectable object and your offset is static.Sensors (Attended Automation)• Use multistep sens
Excel Advanced Command - Formatted text
When using “Get Excel Range Data” advanced commands with formatted text, pay attention to the column size. If your column is too narrow to display the full cell contents and you see ####, Kryon will return ####. All you've got to do to fix this is make the column wider. You can do that using this excel macro:Sub AutoFitCells()Cells.SelectCells.EntireColumn.AutoFitEnd Sub
Working with Query from Excel advanced commands - Basic Requirements
In order to work with Query from excel advanced commands you need to make sure to: 1. Install ODBCOLEDB Driver for AccessExcel. 2. The installation of MS Office (Excel) should be 64bit (the studio is 64bit as well). 32bit Office does not work and raises error.
Kryon Studio Editor - Find option
Kryon Studio wizard editor has a built in "Find" option to help you search through lines of code or steps in your wizard for words or variables. This is very useful when you start to create multi step wizards with advanced commands for troubleshooting. The "Find" option is located on the main toolbar and is highlighted in the screen shot below.
