Nintex Promapp Process cannot be saved due to disabled user

Issue

The following error may occur when attempting to save a Process:

Publishing Failed: Process Owner <name of owner> has been disabled

 

Resolution

Either:
  1. Go to Admin > Users
  2. Select Display Inactive Users from the cog wheel menu
  3. Edit the User
  4. Select Transfer from the Ownerships & Rights panel
  5. Select the Processes to Transfer and the new person to transfer the Processes to
  6. Select Transfer
Or:
  1. Re enable the User through Admin > Users
  2. Edit the Process
  3. Change the Process Owner or Expert
  4. Save & Publish the Process
