As long as participants are tagged correctly in the processes and the right roles assigned, the system will notify impacted parties whenever a process/document is created/changed. Participants then have the option of viewing it, or marking it as viewed. You can track this via the 'Process Changes Not Yet Viewed (by user)' report.
A more formal option is available if you have the Training and Induction module, which allows you to require staff to actively click 'Acknowledge' on all processes that relate to their role, regardless of when it was published or updated.
