2. Wanting a widget to put into your intranet or homepage etc? (yes this can be done by grabbing the widget URL to embed from Admin > Configure > Intranet/Extranet Resources.)

Most people use an iframe or webpart and point the iframe to the URL in the config section.
Something such as this:
1. Put in the webpage
2. Adjust the width/height and the other configurations on the end.
