@sjadvaiya no the workflow design cannot be exported to the BPMN xml format.

@sjadvaiya when you say "compatible with" do you mean do we have the option to update the look and feel of controls to align with the BPMN icons? If so, then no the look and feel of the controls on the deisgner canvas cannot be updated.
Nintex Workflow Cloud does have integration with our process mapping application Promapp, which might meet your needs.
