Known Issue: Error when connecting to a K2 Cloud Instance with incorrect AAD credentials using the Package and Deployment Tool

KB002294

PRODUCT
K2 Cloud

Issue

When you use the Package and Deployment tool in a K2 Cloud environment you may see the following error:

Authentication With Server Failed: Requested Authentication Provider not hosted.

Error Message

The Package and Deployment tool connects to the K2 server using a connection string. When your connection credentials are not configured correctly, or you use invalid credentials (such as the credentials of a different Azure Active Directory tenant) you see the Authentication With Server Failed: Requested Authentication Provider or Primary Credential not Authenticated.

Resolution

This is a known error. If you see this behavior and have confirmed that you're using what you think are the correct credentials, contact the Operations team who can investigate your environment. Log a K2 Support ticket and provide your company’s public IP address/range as well as your unique K2 Cloud ID (KUID), and request that your ticket gets routed to the Operations team.
