Task Action In Workflow Sends Multiple Emails And Only One Works

ISSUE

When running a workflow that is started by another workflow and has a task action, the action sends out multiple emails for the same task, however only one of the emails actually links to the task, the other emails have the following message:

RESOLUTION

1. Identify the child workflow where the multiple task emails are coming from.
2. Add a one minute pause at the start of this workflow.

Note: This behavior is due to a bug that was resolved in build 3.1.8.0 or Nintex Workflow 2013. Upgrading to build 3.1.8.0 or higher should also resolve this issue.
