Nintex Document Tagger Add-in Error

Issue

When opening the Nintex Document Tagger for Microsoft Word, the add-in fails to load with the error: "Add-in Error: This add-in could not be started. Close this dialog to ignore the problem or click 'Restart' to try again"

 

Resolution

  1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
  2. Click the Security tab, and then select the Restricted Sites Zone.
  3. Select the Enable Protected Mode check box, and then click OK.
  4. Restart Internet Explorer.

    Internet Explorer? You're kidding me! People still use this?  How is this antiquated browser of any relevance to this issue? I checked the settings anyway and saw that the "protected mode" was already enabled. Still having the same issue with the Word add-in opening with an error. Starting to think this add-in is junk.
