In the event logs, Event ID 8311 occurs referencing certificate validation errors

Configure the Nintex external relay service as instructed in the following link;

Additional Information
If you are not using this service then you can disable the service by doing the following
- Go to Central Administration > System Setting > Services in Farm server, disable the auto-provisioning Nintex external relay service
- Go to Central Administration > System Setting > Manage services on server, stop the Nintex external relay service
