Issue

After updating, all workflows fail to start with the error:

Failed to start workflow. Procedure or function CreateWorkflowInstance has too many arguments specified.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to: Central Administration > Nintex Workflow Management > Database Setup
  2. Check for any available updates, signified by a green hyperlink at the top of the page.
  3. If an update is available perform the update and retest.
If the error persists, use the NWAdmin tool to manually check for and update the Database. For more information, see pages 11 and 51 of the NWAdmin Operations - Nintex Workflow 2016 PDF document.
