Issue

Unable to publish a Nintex Workflow for an entire site collection. The below error occurs in the SharePoint ULS logs when trying to publish a workflow. 


Error message:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

The below error occurs in the SharePoint ULS logs when trying to publish the workflow.

Failed to handle workflow upload starting event. Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.. Stack trace:   
 at Nintex.Forms.SharePoint.MobileAppForms.NfMobileFormsRepository.MarkFormAsDeletedIfExists(Guid workflowId)    
 at Nintex.Forms.SharePoint.EventHandlers.OnWorkflowUploadStarting.ProcessStartForm(WorkflowUploadStartingEventReceiverContext eventArgs, Boolean& expectedException)    
 at Nintex.Forms.SharePoint.EventHandlers.OnWorkflowUploadStarting.Execute(WorkflowUploadStartingEventReceiverContext eventArgs)

 

Resolution

1. Navigate to Site Settings and change to the Site Collection level.
2. Click on "Site collection features" under Site Collection Administration.
3. Deactivate and Reactivate the Nintex Forms for Nintex Workflow feature.
4. Deactivate and Reactivate the Nintex Workflow feature.
