Issue
When running the database detach command using the NWAdmin tool an error occurs.
NWAdmin.exe -o DetachDatabase -serverName serverName [-databaseName contentDatabase]

Resolution
Navigate to Central Administration > Nintex Workflow Management > Database setup and click the update database link if one exists.
If the link does not appear run the NWAdmin command NWAdmin.exe -o UpgradeDatabases [-database <database connection string> -isConfig]
If the link does not appear run the NWAdmin command NWAdmin.exe -o UpgradeDatabases [-database <database connection string> -isConfig]
