Is it possible to create a custom forms template for tasks forms?

It is not possible to create a template for just the task form. However, it is possible to create a farm-wide template that can then be modified for the task form in Nintex Form Designer.
Another option is to create a custom form for the task form, and then export the form and save it. The form can then be imported and used when needed
