Regular expression & translates to &

Hi All,

I try to exclude some special characters in my made form in a single line textbox.

However the & Character wil go on the background to &

i tried to & but that doesnt work 

What i want to do is:

(^[^/:*?"<>&|]+$)

It would be nice of some one could help me out!
