Known Issue : Invalid redirect URL error for Exchange Online feature instance

KB003703

PRODUCT

BASED ON

Issue

When you create an Exchange Online feature instance in Management, an error occurs on the Add Feature Instance page during the OAuth Token stage of the configuration. This is because the redirect_url OAuth resource parameter is configured with an HTTP URL instead of HTTPS, causing a redirect error when the configuration tries to retrieve a token to connect to Exchange Online. This is only applicable to environments where the original K2 Site installation was configured with HTTP and has since been upgraded to HTTPS.

Error

K2TSTS20002: An error occurred while processing an authorization response (invalid_redirect_url)

Resolution

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Check if there is a stored Microsoft Online Apponly token in Management > Authentication > OAuth > Tokens. If a token for the user running Management site exists, delete the token because a new one will be generated when you create a new feature instance.

  2. Go to Resources in Management > Authentication > OAuth > Resources. Select the Exchange resource, select the redirect_url resource parameter and click edit. Change both the Authorization Value and Token Value URL to start with HTTPS instead of HTTP. Click OK.

  3. Create the Exchange Online feature instance again. The configuration completes successfully.
