Moderator Edit: Removed company URL from error message

One quick tip. The entire error message you see there is actually a html page. Just copy everything within and including the <html>...</html>, paste it into notepad, then save it as something like error.html. Then open error.html. You should see a well-formed IIS error message.

So the exact error is "Cannot read configuration file". The config file it is trying to read is C:inetpubwwwrootK2Apiweb.config. Check if that file exist in that location, then open it to check if it is in the correct format.

I noticed your K2 seems to be installed on E:Program Files (x86K2 blackpearl. Make sure the identity used to run your K2 application pools have the permission to access the entire K2 blackpearl folder.

As, we installed on E Drv, we need to redirect the configuation setting to read from here. How we can do that?

See our web.config location in the attachment.

Hi Gaus

I checked on a K2 Environment with working SMO API and the C:inetpubwwwrootK2Api folder is actually empty. As far as I can see, it should be using [Program Files folder]K2 blackpearlWebServicesAPISmartObjectService.ODataweb.config

If I do place a web.config in the C:inetpubwwwrootK2Api folder, it breaks my API.

Make sure the C:inetpubwwwrootK2Api folder is empty and [Program Files folder]K2 blackpearlWebServicesAPISmartObjectService.ODataweb.config exists.

Sounds to me that something is wrong with the setup or current configuration. A K2 Repair might be needed.

Cheers,

ThinusC
