Upon an upgrade from 5.0 to 5.2, I'm getting this errror "attached",this happens when I'm trying to access the designer.
could you please assist?

Have you tried running a repair? It's strange the user's FQN is getting converted into an int. After the repair process, check if there are any errors logged in the InstallerTrace.
If the repair fails, I will recommend you log a support ticket instead, as this may require a more in depth investigation.
