How to manually kill an instance

Hi All, 

We have a few instaces that have been running for a long time, 

From K2 management,  clicking and selecting stop results in perpetual 'thinking about it" icon but the instaces stay running. 

Can someone please advise on how to manually stop these or link to a process?
