Code Fix: Unable to create a Workflow using SharePoint as a non-admin user

Issue Description

When you create a Workflow as a non-admin user via SharePoint and choose a WebHook Event, such as Item Added, the subscription does not get created and an error occurs.

Error Message:

The following error occurs:

“[Error details]:

Exception of type 'SourceCode.SmartObjects.Client.SmartObjectException' was thrown.

[Assembly]: SourceCode.SmartObjects.Services.SharePoint.Integration

[Class]: SourceCode.SmartObjects.Services.SharePoint.Integration.Execution.Execute

[Method]: Register SharePoint Events”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
