Here are the highlights of what’s new in Nintex Apps with 17.7 and 17.8. In these releases, we continued to improve the Page Designer experience based on user feedback. We focused on usability improvements and on reducing the number of clicks to perform common actions.
Usability Improvements
- Improved drag-and-drop Index functionality
New color indicators show you where you can and cannot place components. - Action Flows zoom
You can now zoom in and out on the Action Flows builder canvas which helps to visualize and navigate large action flows. (Inspired by Nintex Automation Cloud!) - Form field section empty states
When you drop the Form component on the canvas, sections are now available in the component’s empty state, allowing you to add sections and columns before adding fields. - Click area is larger for adding fields to models
- Reduce tab proliferation.
This was a common request from users. Now the Page Designer does not automatically open in another tab. Users can opt to do so via the more options menu. Breadcrumbs at the top of the Page Designer take you back to wherever the page was opened from - be it an app or the pages list.
Reduce Clicks
- Selecting an action in the action flow builder now closes the modal
No need to click Create. - Edit and Remove actions for model conditions and parameters are now at the top level
Previously these were hidden behind the more options menu.
New Features
- Page Designer Migration Utility
A new utility helps existing users easily migrate from using the Composer to using the new Page Designer.
