Here are a few questions your interviewer might ask you on the big day to make sure you not only talk the talk, but also walk the walk: 

 

1) Can you tell me some of the benefits of RPA? 

 

There are several different directions you can take with this question. A few of the benefits you can mention are the cost decrement, more accuracy in lesser time, how easy it is to implement, the lack of typical coding required, and improved business results for RPA adopters. 

 

2) Would you be able to break down the RPA life cycle for me? 

 

This life cycle is used in a vast array of industries, but we recommend you break down the cycle’s four main components: discovery and analysis, development, testing phase, deployment and maintenance. 

 

3) What are the characteristics and strengths of RPA? 

 

Your interviewer is looking for a more in-depth answer and wants you to know that organizations are using RPA to address key changes like cost reduction, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. Here are a handful of characteristics and strengths you might include in your answer: 

 

A) Computer-coded software

B) Programs imitate human interaction with applications

C) Cross-functional applications

D) Virtual workforce controlled by business operations

E) Agile and non-invasive, work with IT structure and governance 

 

4) What are the steps needed by a user to implement their RPA solution? 

 

This is where you walk your interviewer through the six main steps. Be sure to mention these primary steps: 

A) Identification of automation processes 

B) Optimization of identified process or operation

C) Build a business case,including clear KPIs for automation

D) Select the RPA vendor according to the developer’s choice

E) Create a model of RPA Development

F) Continue building the RPA bots
