K2 Cloud app to app authentication

HI,   We are using K2 cloud app to app aithentciation, we have configured AAD and given delegated permsssion on K2 API,Still we get authrorization error in postman when tried to fetch the list workflows using REST API call.Any sueesgtions. Thanks,Asif

Connecting an On-Premises platform to K2 Cloud using a TLS API Call over the internet

Hello,  We have received an inquiry about connecting an on premises (UiPath Orchestrator) to K2 Cloud using a TLS API call over the internet.  1. Is this possible?2. What are the security risks involved? We have shared the KB article on connecting on prem to cloud with them but they are looking for an answer on why this would not work or not be as secure as the other methods.  https://help.k2.com/kb002939We want to be clear in our response if this is possible and about the risks (if any) are involved in using this approach. Thanks smart people

K2 Cloud to SQL Connection

We are working on the best option for connecting K2 Cloud to an premise SQL server or potentially Azure SQL server .  At a high-level, we are designing a process for the client that will engage an OCR reader to extract data from an invoice then a bot verifies the information on the invoice is correct and approves and pays invoice if correct.  If it is not correct, the bot will toss an exception to K2 with data from the invoice along with a pdf copy for a manager to update information or approve the invoice.  We are now looking to leverage an intermediary SQL database where UiPath can enter the data for the exception and then K2 can read the details from there for the manager to update or approve. We need K2 assistance with determining the best approach for connectivity to the intermediary SQL database.  Below are my thoughts/questions on our options for connecting K2. On-premise SQL connectivity options:SDA – additional license fee; we would like to avoid this option if possible Site t

Workflow error in K2 Cloud

My workflow starts when the edit form is opened. When I submit the form it works correctly and sends an email notification to a Manager. The Manager gets the notification and can then approve the form ok. However the workflow then goes into error. I cannot tell why it is failing. The error message in K2 management in dev just provides the following information. There is no fields mentioned. How can I find out further information to tell where the issue is? When I look at the flow for the process it highlights one of the workflow steps but I cannot see anything wrong with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Service: company_com___sites___documentset_devSeverity: ErrorError Message: One or more field types are not installed properly. Response time degraded when accessing on-prem LOB system using K2 Cloud SDA

We are now building solutions using K2 Cloud and accessing our on-prem LOB data using K2 Cloud SDA, after previously building on K2 4.7. We recreated a service instance & SMO previously built for an on-prem K2 4.7 solution that returned the data from our LOB system instantaneously. However, we are now experiencing a few second delay on the exact same data retrieval with K2 Cloud. We aren't sure if there is a way to optimize the K2 Cloud data retrieval response time or if this is just something we will have to live with. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

How many K2 Cloud License Do I need?

Hi guys! I just wanna ask about how many K2 cloud licenses do we need for this scenario. We have 3 people in a workflow that needs to approve documents via email or the formsWe have 1 K2 Developer I know the developer needs 1 K2 license. But for those 3 people who need to approve documents in the workflow, do each of them need a K2 license? Or they can approve without a license? I wanna verify this to report to my manager. Thank you!

Getting Started: K2 on cloud with Sharepoint Online

Hi guys! I'm Jay. I'm new to K2 on cloud. Just signed up a few hours ago. :D Been watching videos on how to set-up K2 with Sharepoint online. I do need help getting started. Specifically, I need to find the K2 URL that links to the K2 server. My environment is:* K2 on cloud trial version* Sharepoint Online Maybe i'm missing something? I appreciate your help.

Use Process Rights in K2 Cloud

Hi I have a trial account on K2 Cloud, I 'm going to build a sample work flow with 7 stages,I need to know how to add users to each stage, and if that not available in my trail account, what should I do to buy a 7 users to submit this samble work flow,knwoing that, this 's just for evaluating the engene so I'm not going to integrate with active directiry during the evaluation cycle, I will make it as a system accounts for testing. I appreciate your urgent feedback Best RegardsAhmed Shoukry

How to SFTP a file from company server to a K2 Cloud instance

Hi All, We have a file we need to automatically send daily from our on-premises server to our K2 instance. We'd like to use SFTP from our system in batch (for example using AutoSys). This is not a manual upload. It is a batch upload happening in the early hours. I've scanned the help system here and have found nothing. We're looking for particulars please (not a generic help system link). Thanks in advance. :)

Update Process Data fields (K2 Cloud)

Hi All I have lots of running processes in K2 Cloud where a certain data field contains invalid value.  There is no way through the workflow to update this information and they are going into error.I need some way to manually update a data field in these instances - how can this be done?Because we are using K2 Cloud there is no option to use 3rd party tools.Is there a way to do it through a smartObject or through K2 Management? thanksPaul

Advice for migration of custom solution to K2 Cloud?

Hi All, We are understanding the process of K2 cloud and its benefits. In our current set up, we have few custom service brokers and soultion build in .NET using K2 DLLs. According to K2 Cloud feature matrix - custom service broker/ Client API (.NET) are disabled. so, is it adviced to migrate on premiese application to k2 cloud and will it work as expected? Please advice me. Securing cloud to cloud communications in K2 Cloud

We recently had a fruitful meeting with a customer who is evaluating K2 Cloud.They have an existing Azure subscription and they are currently using it as AD.They are also going to use it to host their SQL database through Azure SQL Database service. However they are concerned about securing their data while in transit from our K2 Cloud to their Azure SQL database cloud. I did some research on this and found that we can secure the connection through the following methods: Allow access to Azure services – accept incoming traffic only from Azure IPs and subnets IP address whitelisting – requires a static IP address from us (K2 Cloud) VNet to VNet VPN – most secure according to this article from MS My questions are: For option 2, I’d like to confirm if we can provide a static IP address for K2 Cloud (I read that we can here)? For option 3, I’d like to confirm if we can configure K2 Cloud for cloud to cloud data connection via Site-to-Site VPN, given of course that the customer already has

K2 cloud Find roles of a user with methods in URM

We want to retrieve all roles for a user.In blackpearl the URM service purpose the method "Find role" https://help.k2.com/support-services/kbs100062but this method are not available in K2 Cloud.How could we retrieve all the roles where the user belong without this method ? Regard

Where is the HowTo Tutorial for K2 Cloud...

I saw on a video is required Azure AD... for accounts... what about start developing, apps, how to get the SQL maybe Azure SQL ??? Is there a HowTo Tutorial to get started... I'm thinking probably needAzure AD -> AccountsAzure SQL -> For SQL DBWeb Tenant for K2 Designer ?? Will this mean only authenticated people on Azure AD will have access to the Forms or everybody in the world could potentially have access ??

So K2 Cloud is out... I wonder if somebody got chance look at it....

I try to contact K2 for a trial version and take it for a spin, but no luck yet... maybe they don't have the tenants ready. I like to see if there is an option where Developer can use if to build External Internet Applications,  that will be really awesome. or at least a placeholder where can develop have applications that potentially can be exported and place in the market or available on request. Also curious about the backend Database options available. I wonder if they will have a way to connect to No-SQL or Oracle. perhaps everything is going to be driven from smartbox, but having a SQL interface will be even better to scale more the apps. Dino.

How to download Package and Deployment Tool for K2 Cloud and Appit

 Prerequisites  To use the P&D tool the K2 Operations team will need to add your public IPs to the Azure Network Access Control list (ACL) Make sure the Port Range 25683 – 26707 is open in your firewall. You must be a member of the Package and Deployment role in order to successfully create and deploy packages (see K2 Cloud User Guide - Roles)        Important:  You must grant consent to the API in K2 Management using a Global Admin account-- if this is not done P&D will fail with "Primary Credential Not Authenticated” errors     Go to K2 Management and click on Integration > API Select "SETUP AAD CONSENT" (see screenshot) This will direct you to "K2 for AAD Login" Click on "Accept" and you should receive an "Authorization Successful" message        How do I get the tool?   You can automatically download the tool by navigating to the K2 Management site and adding “/remote” to the end of the URL.  Examples:  https://KUID.appit.com/Management/remote  https://KUID.onk2.com/Mana

SQL Azure - Security options connecting from K2 Cloud

Hi, Is there a way to lock down access to an Azure Sql DB from K2 Cloud? I don't want to open up the Sql Server to all of the internet. The reason: To allow using stored procedures to access and update multiple tables. These stored procedures might also have some calculations inside them to update other rows in the table. I know I can lock it down to Azure Services access only, but wondering if there are any other options? Legacy workflows Appit vs K2 Cloud?

After the most recent upgrade last night all our existing workflows seem to be forcing us to the legacy Workflow Designer.  Is there a way to prevent this?   If not, does it mean that all existing (pre K2 cloud) workflows have to be replaced in order to use the new WF Designer?   It appears that FireFox is not allowed nor private browser sessions (essential in some cases).   There are many warnings about continuing to use Legacy designer.   Do we have a specific limited timeframe in which to re-write and retest all the existing workflows?  Thanks!
