Issue

Searching for users from a secondary domain in K2 Management does not yield any results.

Symptoms

The domain was added as per documentation: K2 Management > Users > K2 > Domains.

However, there is an entry in the K2 database that was not updated after adding this configuration.

SELECT [RoleInit]
FROM [HostServer].[SecurityLabel]
WHERE [SecurityLabelName] = 'K2'

<roleprovider>
   <init>ADCache=0;LDAPPath=[LDAPPath];...;MultiDomain=False;...</init>
   <...>
</roleprovider>

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Stop the K2 Blackpearl service.

  2. Make a backup of the K2 Database.

  3. Update the RoleInit entry in the HostServer.SecurityLabel table to set MultiDomain=True.

  4. Start the K2 Blackpearl service.
