Hi all,

 

We are currently running multiple sites on one SharePoint 2013 farm, utilizing K2 4.6.11 including the K2 for SharePoint App.

Recently, we planned to upgrade to 4.7 in place so we have taken one of our sites and created a new K2 4.7 server.

I'm now at the point of installing the K2 for SharePoint app.

The questions to the community are: 

  • will installing the 4.7 app break the existing 4.6.11 app?
  • Can I install the apps for 4.6.11 and 4.7 side by side?

In short, the app can be upgraded in the app catalog, and as long as you don't upgrade it on the individual site collections, the other sites will continue to work (until they are upgraded. However, you won't be able to use K2  on any new lists until the K2 for SP app is updated on the site.

 

I will need to try this out obviously but it's promising.
