Hello,
Is there a way to remove the k2 comment user display or change the appearance of the Authors name? Could we set alias instead to appear in the comment section?

Are you referring to Workflow comments? Can you please add some more details of what you are doing and want to achieve perhaps a screenshot might clear it up.
