Is it possible to delete documents to remove them entirely instead of cancelling and having notifications flow to the signatories that have declined to sign the document?

Documents can be deleted rather than cancelled. Deleting a document may behave differently depending on the document’s status. For example, if a document has already been declined, deleting it does not currently trigger additional notifications to signatories.
