Code Fix: When configuring a Start Event for a new Workflow, you are unable to select a subsite

Issue Description

When you select Start with a SharePoint List under the Start Event in the Workflow Designer and then select a SharePoint subsite, an error occurs.

Error Message:

The following error occurs:

“Error","General","0","ExecuteTrustedAssemblyMethod","K2DesignerHostedServer","0 An Error occurred executing a trusted assembly method with parameters 'Assembly': SourceCode.WebDesigner.Config.SF, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=16a2c5aaaa1b130d, 'ClassElement': smartObjectPlugin, 'Method': GetDataForSmartObjectItemProvider.System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> SourceCode.SmartObjects.Client.SmartObjectNotFoundException: SmartObject [_Management_List] could not be found.”

Resolution

The fix is available in:

  1. Ensure you have the correct K2 version and/or Cumulative update installed. See KB001893 to see what Fix Pack level you have installed.
  2. Download the latest Fix Pack using the links in the table above for the version you require.
  3. Install the Fix Pack to apply the fix.
  4. It is recommended to clear browser cache and refresh the page.

Considerations

K2 for SharePoint Integration is required for this fix.
