Need to display the Department name (ex. IT, R&D, Accounting) and the Position name instead of just the list number related to the option selected. Any ideas what I am missing? Thanks in advance.
Hi, I have this coming up when trying to print to pdf. I have html being used in a calculated field (to embed attachments to the form). Anyone else run into this issue or know a solution?
Hey folks: Every time I create a Person / Group variable in o365 Workflow, it immediately sets it to appear on the initiation / start form and won't let me remove it. I do not want it to appear on that form.Is this the case for everyone or am I doing something wrong / do I have something messed up somewhere? Cheers & thank you, rhia
In a Web Request action, I tried to add a header named "referer" with the domain name of the sharepoint tenant as the value (e.g. xxxxx.sharepoint.com; as required by the external application's API) in my web request but I received the following message when I executed the action: The 'referer' header must be modified using the appropriate property or method.Parameter name: name I know that in .NET, you have to set the HttpWebRequest.Referer property instead of adding a header. In the Nintex workflow action "Web Request", there is no way to set that property. The external application's API requires that the referer header be exactly the whitelisted domain with no "https://" or trailing slashes, and I'm getting an error response code if I let Nintex Workflow set the referer property. Is there a workaround here? Or will this require a product change? Thanks
I am using Nintex Office 365 workflows and using REST API to break role inheritance but it always throws Forbidden error message. I have achieved same in Nintex on Premise and it is working fine.Any suggestions.
How to Update Meta data column through REST API with Nintex workflow i have tried below link but still could not update https://community.nintex.com/community/build-your-own/blog/2016/09/12/inserting-or-updating-a-managed-metadata-field-using-nintex-workflowhttps://www.habaneroconsulting.com/stories/insights/2014/setting-managed-metadata-fields-in-a-nintex-workflow#.VIg593l0yUk
In Nintex workflow online, how to check from one workflow then other workflow is finished since workflow status column is a Hyperlink type. If we use wait for item update till status is completed, does not work since returned value is URL type.
Hello,Is there any possibility to set a group as default group for a SharePoint site using Nintex for O365? Thank you.Regards,Paul
Hi all, I have recently had to change a workflow to the newer version of DocGen but I am struggling to work out why my collection data is not being listed properly in the Excel file.I have followed a blog posted by Patrick Hosch (https://community.nintex.com/community/tech-blog/blog/2017/04/19/document-generation-just-got-a-major-upgrade-in-office-365) but I don't see any data when the file is built.I have tried multiple ways of doing this; selecting a range of cells for the data (which shows nothing), and selecting the top row of the table (which shows a single row of data), but I am lost in this at the moment. What I have is 5 columns of data which can be variable in the number of rows (but up to a max of 5) and each row has different data; Date, Reference, and other data. There are other non-collection variables that do show on the Excel file but my main concern is why the collection data doesn't show.Edit: I have placed the Row Start variable from the Table fields in the first row (
We have been using SharePoint and Nintex to process change orders for about 4 years now.Nintex workflows were created for approval or rejection of process steps which would also capture comments. In that previous version of SharePoint we had ‘Request Review’ and ‘Request Approval’ modules under ‘User Interaction’. At the beginning of 2018, we migrated to Office 365 SharePoint and Office 365 Nintex Workflows and quickly discovered there are no ‘Request Review’ or ‘Request Approval’ modules so we are using the ‘Assign a Task’ or ‘Start a Task Process’ to perform a similar function. We would prefer to use a true review or approve module in Nintex but either I’m missing it or it’s not there. Can one be added?
how i can generate a unique number, which should start from 01 every day and should get incremented once a new item will get created in the list.ex: today 2 list items are created so the number counter should be set to 02. tomorrow it should set back to 01 and so on. This serial number should be available at the time of new item creation. nintex forms office 365
For a client project, we're using both Forms and Workflow for Office 365. We're also making use of the Document Generation feature of Nintex Workflow to generate PDF versions of the forms a user fills out. One form is making use of the "Signature Control" feature available on the Nintex Mobile App, which works beautifully given our client's needs. The only issue is that I can't figure out how to take that signature and have it show up in the PDF that is generated. Anyone know how I would do this, or if it's even possible? Thanks, Will
Hello all, I am using Site workflow and trying to start a list workflow on an item if the "Next review date" is equal to today. I was able to query the list items and got the collection of item ids. So now i used for loop and used "start workflow" action to run the list workflow on the item id's. I tried with GUID as well. But i am getting the error "Item does not exit. It may be deleted by another user". Does anyone faced this issue. Please let me know if there is any resolution.
Use of TablesThis might be one of the most challenging obstacles for those of you coming from an InfoPath background. In InfoPath, tables were used heavily for form layout and design. Also, the product included a visual table designer and existing tables could be modified via the user interface. In Nintex Form Designer, tables can be used but are a bit of a challenge for a few reasons. First, there is no visual table designer in Nintex forms designer. Therefore tables can be either created visually in a 3rd party app such as SharePoint designer 2010 or Dreamweaver, or they can be hand coded in Nintex Designer using the Rich Text form control.Second, unlike InfoPath, objects form cannot be placed directly in table cells. So, you must manually arrange each object on the canvas if you want to create a “table-like” structure for your form. Update (03/11/16)I attended a form design session at InspireX. In that session I learned that Nintex forms does not use tables because tables are bad...
I can see, I'm not the only one with this question.... My scenario is: I have a workflow (A). It gets kicked off by the workflow admin (UserA). This workflow then has forms which will create a task in the 'workflow tasks' list but the tasks can be assigned to any user (User B,C,D, etc...). The client does not want UserB seeing UserC, or UserD's tasks or being able to update someone elses task. Very understandable. Usually I would just create a workflow on the 'workflow task' list that resets the permissions to strip away all permissions and then grant the 'assigned to' task person contribute rights. Thus, only the 'assigned to' user can see or update the task they have been assigned in the 'workflow task' list. This does not seem to work in O365 because the workflow assigned to the 'workflow task' list does not start automatically because the system created the task not UserB,C,D... I have seen suggestions about using the start workflow action, but I will not be able to execute
Hi! I'm facing issues with the "Query XML" action. It is executing extremly slow. It needs minutes to complete even though the XML is rather small:
<MiejsceKontroliStatus type="System.String">USZKODZONY</MiejsceKontroliStatus> <MiejsceKontroliElementOk type="System.Boolean">False</MiejsceKontroliElementOk> <MiejsceKontroliZdjecie type="System.String"><a href="https://image_URL" target="_blank"><img width="400" src="https://image_URL" /></a></MiejsceKontroliZdjecie> <MiejsceOpis type="System.String">Some description</MiejsceOpis> <MiejsceKontroliOpis type="System.String">Some description</MiejsceKontroliOpis> <MiejsceStatus type="System.String">USZKODZONY</MiejsceStatus> <MiejsceZdjecie type="System.
Hi,I am working Nintex form, SharePoint online, office 365, In "new item form" trying to Retrieve logged in User details like "Job title, location, Line Manager, Line Manager Email" details. I tried almost everything but nothing is working.Your help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Regards,Sandesh
Hi everyone, I have a SharePoint Online list with new "modern experience" enabled. Also, I like to use the details pane to change properties of list items directly. One of the fields in the list is a multi-line rich-text field ("append text" is disabled). As soon as I create a Nintex Form for that list, I can no longer edit that field using the detail pane. When I click the edit button for that field in the details pane, a new form opens up on the right half of my screen, but except it's title (edit ">field name>" and a never-ending loading animation it shows nothing. I waited for several minutes, but the text editor and the field content for that field will not show up in the form. As soon as I delete the form it works fine again. Are there known issues with this configuration?
Hello All, I'm pretty new to Nintex Workflow/Forms for O365 and I'm working through an expense request workflow. I'm using a repeating section on the form which has a field for Cost, a Description, and an internal code for our Accounting department. The whole repeating section is attached to a plain text multi-line column on the list. There are two issues I'm having hopefully someone can help with:The cost field isn't formatting as currency. (I originally added a column called "Line Item Cost" which was a currency field and was dragged into the repeating section). Even after the item has been saved, the numerical value isn't showing as currency. I've looked up numerous community articles, but can't wrap my head around converting the XML output into a table or other usable form to use in email notification references or in the list itself. I know I need to use Query XML, to translate the XML into another form stored in a variable, but I don't really understand what to put for XPath quer
Hi everyone, I'm unable to find the "my workflow tasks" webpart in O365. I'm assuming it's not available on that platform? So, I was wondering if there is a workaround to display pending tasks assigned to the logged on user in SharePoint online?
I've been trying all the ways I can find to access the currently logged in users profile details from Nintex forms for Office 365. It is driving me mad. Nothing I've tried works.The closest I've got is to be able to load SPServices - I can return the version number just fine. But when I try to access any data, I always get a blank response.For example, with this in the form's custom JS:NWF$(function(){ console.log('##### ======= START HERE ======= #####'); console.log(NWF$().SPServices.Version()); var userAccount = NWF$().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser({ fieldName: "Title", debug: false }); var userName = NWF$().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser({ fieldName: "UserName" }); var thisSite = NWF$().SPServices.SPGetCurrentSite(); console.log('USER ACCOUNT: ',userAccount); console.log('USER NAME: ',userName); console.log('SITE NAME: ',thisSite); alert('SITE NAME: '&thisSite); NWF$().SPServices({
I'm seeing something pretty odd with an approval action and wondered if anyone has seen the same problem. My action is set under a run if to approve an item based on a condition, you can see I'm telling the action to filter for the right item based on the ID But the workflow gets suspended with the error below. For some reason it's looking for a column not with the value of the variable but with the name
Ok, so when I saw the new Save and Continue button option I thought it was exactly what the users have been wanting for a long time - save their work on the form then continue working on it (or not), but not Submit it for workflow processing. The form I am modifying is a Financial project approval form, so up until now the user fills in the form, clicks the submit button and the item is created and the workflow for Approval / Rejection processing is initiated. Apparently the Save and Continue button does much the same: item is saved to the list, workflow started, but then the form is re-opened onscreen for the user to continue editing even though the workflow has now been started. I'm obviously missing something - how can I allow the user to save the form but not have the workflow initiated until they click on the Submit button? Thanks.
Hi there! I am using the 'Wait for Event in List Item' action in my Nintex Workflow and created a Workflow Variable with the GUID of the specific item to wait for a change. However, it seems that the 'Wait for Event in List Item' action starts every time an item is changed within that list. So it looks like it doesn't check the GUID. Is this a known issue?
Using Nintex Workflow for Office 365, I can't see FormData in the Item Properties from the query XML.
