Hi, I have a workflow that is being suspended randomly for certain group. As per error message, the problem seems to be in permissions although the users of this group (Purchasing Team)have Contribute permission for this list.By saying randomly, I mean this happens when a task is sent to the group (Purchasing Team) and they do not reply in same day. This is really confusing me because if they complete task within short time, the workflow proceed smoothly while if they reply after say 2 days , the workflow suspend giving the below message.I tried many steps related to permissions as advised within this forum, and even tried adding the task to action set with elevated permission but still no hope.Any idea how to sort this out ? Error message:RequestorId: 2a5bcb96-d14b-bdf9-0000-000000000000. Details: Exception was thrown while executing workflow instance. Exception details: System.InvalidOperationException: The activity 'SingleTask_CreateListItemCancellationScope' with ID 2169 threw or pro
Hey folks! I'll admit - I don't use O365 very much. And, due to this fact, I struggle with some things that are fairly basic. Example (and the topic of this post): We're using the O365 Search Query to retrieve some data on a Content Type. Neat. We're returning the source as XML. Also neat. HOWEVER! We need to be able to view the XML brought back with all of its tags in tact, and it keeps rendering them and thus disappearing. Here is what we have tried: - Emailing it to ourselves using the Advanced Lookup to select Workflow Variable, txtXML, and selecting the format as Plain Text- Writing it to a multi-line SharePoint column set to Plain Text- Wrapping with the tags XMP- Sacrificing a keyboard to the gods of XML What's interesting is that, if we Log To History, all is well - XML, ahoy. Can you help us out? CC Amy Grendus (PS: If you're interested in why we want it as XML, it's because we want to see all the possible tags that we can consume from the search.)
Hi all, I'm trying to use the Office 365 Search Query action to return only documents of a certain content type. I've tried setting the "Result source" to "Items matching a content type", but couldn't figure out from that point where I provide the specific content type ID. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,-Haniel

I don't know a better way to ask this question.. so hopeful it is clear! I have a list that is connected to a list lookup in my form (example of course): Meal Food Dish Breakfast Apple Raw Breakfast Apple Pastry Lunch Carrot Raw Dinner Meat Cooked My issue is that when I select Breakfast under Meal, the next list lookup is Food.. and it it shows Apple twice. Should Apple be consolidated into one line? Yes, they are spelled correctly with no extra spaces, etc. Can Nintex do this? Thanks!

Hello all, I'm getting ready to upgrade our Nintex version to the most current one. We're using SharePoint 2013 on-prem. We're a few versions behind. I'm just curious to know if there's anything we need to look out for when upgrading our Nintex products. Current versions: Nintex Workflow 2013 (3.1.7.10) Nintex Forms 2013 (2.9.1.20) Will the upgrade affect the workflows and forms that were created on older versions? Will i need to re-publish the workflows or forms? We have a lot of workflows and forms published and i don't want to break any of them with the upgrade. Is there anything i need to check before upgrading? Thanks

I have a need to determine, within a list workflow, whether it was started as a result of a new list item being created, or was started manually by a user. Alternatively, a way to restrict who can manually start a workflow, while still allowing workflows to trigger on item creation for any user, would work. My list form does a lot of upfront validation, including whether the user is authorized to perform this particular action. In some scenarios the workflow will end in a condition where an administrator is required to correct data in a LOB system, and then run the workflow manually to complete the action. Only an Administrator should be able to trigger the workflow manually.
I have a Flow in SharePoint with Nintex, when I start the flow and copy the documents to a library, it throws the following message: The request message is too large. The server does not allow messages greater than 2097152 bytes. Could you tell me what is due?
Hey to all - has anyone found a way how to use a variable in the lookup function ?For example I have a calculated field in my form where I added a formula:lookup("Condition Factors","ID",cboProducts,***Variable***) When I enter my variable directly - it works but I want it be flexible, variable will be based on a value of another calculated field.Any ideas anyone? So I've seen various conversations around SharePoint Online throttling and I have been told various things by various Microsoft Engineers/Support Professionals regarding workflow throttling and I wanted to see if others in the community could corroborate these findings: There is an individual task limit of 5,000 tasks per workflow instance that is enforcedI have also however been told that there is a 5,000 workflow instance per site collection limit, and also that there is a 5,000 task per site collection limit. Hard to tell what is what. I have been told that 5,000 workflow requests to the azure workflow manager will put your site on a 24 hour throttle and queue >5,0000 requests that will re-initiate after the 24 hour period is over. In general I can't seem to find any concrete guidance on overall task and or workflow instance volume on a site collection that should be taken into consideration. More importantly I cannot seem to figure out how to become un-throttled once it occur
Hi, I have an email communication sent out through Nintex Workflow. The communication has a file name which is taken from a library. The file name is: Sample & Sample Info.xls The issue is that, when displaying the file name on the subject of the email, it is showing up as below (the '&' part) How can I prevent the 'amp' from not showing up since it is not part of the file name? Thanks!
HI, i am new of Nintex, I want to substring a text and assign to a variable, i have tried below but doesn't work, any suggestion to do that? thanks. Reuslt
I have a rather simple workflow on a document library. When a new document is created or modified in a document library the workflow initiates. In the workflow I basically have only a few workflow variables to set, and then a "Start a task process". This sends a task to each person in a list, with a task with only one outcome. With this task each user 'sign' that they have read the document. The workflow ends without waiting for tasks to complete. That all goes well.A user opens the task form, marks he has read the document, and saves. That also goes well.BUT - the document somehow gets a new version no - and that again kicks off the workflow...Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks Thomas
hi I have been reading this : do i need to create 2 variables to archive this ? i have created a calculation for -1 day calculation but when i tried to query the list , when should i select to filter ?
I can see why workflows run under the Nintex App account. The Nintex app notices a change in the item and in turn manually kicks off the workflow. But this has some disadvantages and may cause problems. List items and documents that are updated by the workflow will be "changed by" the app account instead of the initiator. But the initiator workflow context variable has the user that caused the workflow to start. So when i log the value of the initiator variable in the history log it shows the person that initiated the workflow. Another issue is that the App account doesn't have enough rights to read members of a group. Sure, i can fix this by lowering the security on that group but we don't always want that. Anyone else ran into this? I'm curious to know if there are workarounds and if there are other issues that we should take into account.
I am using Nintex O365 Workflow to update item permissions on a site that we can share externally. Can I use this workflow to set permissions for an external email address?
My responsive form has a repeating section called repExtraActions, connected to a multiline text field in my list. The xml data in this field looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><RepeaterData><Version /><Items><Item><calcExtraActionRowNumber type="System.String"></calcExtraActionRowNumber><lkupExtraActionInstruction type="System.String">6</lkupExtraActionInstruction><pgExtraActionAssignedTo type="System.String">18;#i:0#.f|membership|robert@contenu.nl</pgExtraActionAssignedTo><dtExtraActionDateCreated type="System.DateTime">03/19/2018 00:00:00</dtExtraActionDateCreated><boolExtraActionCompleted type="System.Boolean">False</boolExtraActionCompleted><dtExtraActionDateCompleted type="System.DateTime">03/19/2018 00:00:00</dtExtraActionDateCompleted><pgExtraActionCompletedBy type="System.String"></pgExtraActionCompletedBy></Item><Item><calcExtraA
I use the "Start a Task Process" action to send an approval task to three people. The action is configured to complete when the first response is received. This creates three tasks in the "Workflow Task List". Let's just say the IDs for the task items are:339233933394When I approve one of the three tasks, let's say its 3393, the other two tasks are deleted from the "Workflow Tasks" list.3392 - Deleted from the list.3393 - Complete3394 - Deleted from the list That means that if the other two approvers attempt to follow the link to the task they were assigned, perhaps they got into the office late or were busy, they get an error indicating the item was deleted. Is this normal behavior? If so, is there a more graceful way of handling the link to the deleted task?Chris
Hello, I'm having a bit of trouble working on hiding panels depending on the selection of a drop down. The drop down has several codes which will populate a section (hidden panel). This is how to the form is supposed to work: User selects a code from first drop down, second drop down populates a lit of codes associated with that first drop down selection. When a code is selected from second drop down the associated panel should show. This is the rule i'm using but it doesn't seem to work: CodeType(is the selection from the second dropdown) CodeType=="Code_1" || CodeType=="Code_2" || CodeType=="Code_3" || CodeType=="Code_4" || CodeType=="Code_5" || CodeType=="" Can someone point me in the right direction on how to accomplish this? Thanks in advance
