I have created Task list on O365 and a site content type of Workflow Task (SharePoint 2013) . Added this content type to Task list. When I tried to create a workflow on this list and using "Assign a Task", it only shows default content type in "Content Type" dropdownlist but not the newly created custom content type.
We have the ability within Nintex on prem to add the "Check in Comment" item property to the body of an email. In O365 we have been unable to find it in the "Insert Reference" list and Nintex support have confirmed this is expected behaviour. Has anyone done this before or know how to retrieve the value?
This seems like it should be a very simple thing to accomplish, if not the simplest, however I have spent at least an hour trying to get it working to no prevail. I am aware this has been raised previously but none of the suggested solutions are working for me. I've created a simple workflow that runs when an item is created in a list. I added a step to Send an Email. In the email body editor I click the "Insert Link" tool (the chain icon) and put my cursor in the URL box which appears. I use the Advanced Lookup to select Workflow Context, Current Item URL. I click insert but the insert is performed to the Email Body, not into the URL Box. If I execute this workflow the URL is included in the Email Body, but due to the space in the list name (which is required by design) the URL is cut short at the space. I'd also like to include some link text such as "Click here to view this item", not present the user with the long URL. I tried enclosing the URL in quotes, and manually enclosing it
Hi All,I'm using Start a task process with 3 possible Task outcomesEndorsed -- To Be Revised -- Rejected Default Outcome is Rejected Assignee Options are -Assignment Behaviour - Parallel (All at once)CHECK BOX is TICKED for Assign a task to each member within groupsCHECK BOX is TICKED for Wait for task completionCompletion Criteria -- Wait for percentage of a responseRequired Percentage is 100%Required Outcome is Endorsed If all approvers are endorsed they're tasks then it proceeds to the next stage and if anyone of them rejected it then the workflow will be terminated. But the issue is with when one of the user select 'To Be Revised' - it doesn't go to the previous stage What am I doing wrong here, thanks in advance? regards
This Nintex blog post: https://www.nintex.com/blog/whats-new-azure-ad-integration-nintex-for-office-365/ talks of new Azure AD actions in O365 WFs. The two actions 'Get user details' and 'Get manager details' both require a users email address. Now in WF Cloud their is also the Azure AD action 'Query users', which we can use to get an a collection/array of users based on another profile property and from this we can extract email. However, I can't find this action in O365, or any similar action that would allow you to get a users email from Azure AD or UserProfileService.
Hi, I currently have Nintex workflow and Powerapps form for my Sharepoint online list. I would like to start the Nintex workflow from within the Powerapps form, how would I proceed for this case? Appreciate the help. Regards Hameed
I have a SharePoint app that was recently migrated to SPO from On-Prem. This app has a page that contains a connecting webpart that allows users to select an item, and click a button that opens a Nintex form in a modal window. Clicking the button creates a cookie from the selected item that is being used to autopopulate a field in the Nintex form within the modal window. This is working great in On-Prem but in Nintex O365, I’m using the classic design, and because Nintex O365 is an app, forms are displayed in an iFrame and I can’t pass a cookie from a Sharepoint aspx page to the iframe within a modal window. I can display the cookie value when it is being created. But because Nintex O365 is now an app, the forms open in an iframe which is in a different domain and the value is not there. The JavaScript I’m using is working fine in on-prem. Here is a snippet of code for the webpart on the home page: <input class="pbutton" onclick="clickbutton('https://testing.com/NewForm.aspx?RootFo
I am a new user. I want to create a unique reference number on my form when a new item is added. This will be used a tracking reference by all those in the workflow. I was hoping to use a unique number that sequences everytime a item is raised. Can anyone advice please
Hi all, Has anyone had any success with the Production workflow failure alerts working? I have them set up on a form and the workflow terminated due to an error, I never received the email though? Should I in this scenario?
Hello,I know, there are some posts related to the task outcomes, but couldn't find the answer. In default, my Nintex Workflow task outcomes are "approved" and "rejected". In my Nintex form, the task outcome field is connected to a nintex generated column called "Nintex Task Outcomes 2ec3d0aa-5c4b-4de4-a420-ab2412XXXXXX".So, if I would like to change the outcome e.g. from "approved" to "approved and xyz", where do I have to edit the outcome? In the Nintex Workflow? Or directly in the list column (will the workflow get this change automatically)? Anything else I have to do for a change like this? Additionally: I have five tasks in my workflow. All five taks are using the same outcomes and probably the same nintex generated task outcome column (at the moment there is only one). For the case that I need to edit the outcomes in the workflow: will nintex generate new task outcome columns automatically if my changed outcomes for my five tasks are not longer the same?Thank you!RegardsMarc
Hi Guys, This is a question regarding New Responsive Forms for SharePoint. In the form I have start date and end date fields. Also have fields from January till December. Based on the date duration selected the number of days per month should get auto populated in respective columns from Jan till Dec. Could someone please help me with a logic to do the same? For example, Start Date 15 Jan, End Date 25 Aug, Fields should get auto populated as belowJan: 17, Feb: 29, Mar: 31, Apr: 30, May: 31, Jun: 30, Jul: 31, Aug: 25, Sep: 0, Oct: 0, Nov: 0, Dec: 0ThanksAravind
Using New Responsive Design, copied the nintex form and workflow from another site but when trying to approve/reject a Task Process, I get the above message. Any ideas why?
I am new to Nintex Forms and Workflows and I am hoping that someone can assist with my query. Is there a way to Create multiple list records based on a single form? For example, I would like our users to select “New Item”, have a form that opens with the relevant SharePoint fields in it, and have a repeating section that when completed will update the list with the data input. 1 form that creates multiple entries. We would like to point power BI to the list hence it would be best if all data input into the form is visible within the list rather than having to select edit or view to see the items in the form itself.
Has anyone been successful moving documents to a different site while preserving the versioning history on Office 365? 😢
I need to display several items from another list in the same site inside the form, and am using the online new responsive designer. For some context, it is an incident list that needs to have one or more "Actions" assigned but they want to manage the Actions as a separate list (for several reasons) so I can't use a repeating section and several fields. In the perfect world I could automatically link the actions to the ID of the current Incident item, although that's more a workflow question that I an investigating. So will settle for them manually creating the actions and linking them via a lookup list back to the Incidents list. But the real need is to display those actions within a page on the form so they can see all the related data together. I have seen articles about a display list control but that is only for on-premise forms I believe.
I am using "Assign a Task" in O365. The Assignee is a SharePoint group. When one of the Assignees Cancels or Rejects the task, I was expecting the workflow to send out the email under the option "Cancellation email options" within Assign a Task. However, the email is not being sent. Everyone in the SharePoint Group does get the task request. But if one person rejects it, the other people do not get the Cancellation email. Do you have any idea why?
I decided to try and use the new responsive form designer to create a form in SharePoint Online. I really like the new designer, but have come across the following issues and am wondering if I am doing something wrong or are these bugs. 1. I added a list lookup control name SystemLL to the form that returns 2 values from another list in the same site. Let's just say for this example the values are "System1" and "System2". I created a string variable and used the parselookup(SystemLL) to extract the string value from the lookup. I then created an On Form Input Rule that populates the variable value into a text box that is bound to a SharePoint Column when the SystemLL Control is filled. I test the form and everything works. However when I save the form the value is not being saved, System.Object[] is being saved instead. If I click into the text field after the rule fires and then save, the value will be saved correctly to sharepoint. 2. Along the same lines, I have another list
Hi there, I've used Nintex in a previous job and I wanted to see if there's an option to use a demo site (SharePoint and Nintex workflow/forms) as we're moving to Office365 from SharePoint 2013.Is there anything available and if so, can someone point me in the right direction please. Best regards,Paul
I have two people picker fields and what I want to do is to auto populate the second field with the same data I entered in the first field (not current user). Is there a rule or javascript code to make this possible? I am new to Nintex Forms and I have no idea on how to this one. Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Can anyone provide the steps required to update a HIDDEN list column using Nintex Online? I have seen one post on how to get it working using SP2016 but I have had no luck doing this online
What is the best practice to migrate the Nintex Workflow History from SP 2010 to O365? @andrewg - Please let me know If you have any whitepaper around the migration approach.
Hello everyone, I am having an issue getting an error on attachments on my send an email action. "Attachment file not found for: <file>" The file comes from Shared Documents, and I copied and pasted the whole URL but to no avail. Any idea how to fix this?
In my task form, I would like to make a field required if a certain condition is met. The condition I want to evaluate is if the current user is listed in a person field that allows multiple values. I figure using a direct comparison such as == won't work as the multi-person field may contain many values and it will never evaluate to true. So how can I compare the current user to multiple people value field? Scenario:The Assignee field has three people listed in it. If the Current User is listed as one of the three people in that field, then make valField required. Any ideas?
SharePoint/Nintex Environment: O365Library Type: Forms LibraryForm Template Type: InfoPath 2013 I am looking to migrate attachments that are being stored in my InfoPath form that is sitting on a SharePoint O365 Forms Library. I have seen this question asked over and over and I don't think I have found a straightforward answer. I have a rather complex form that collects attachments (among other data that is unrelated to this question). We have 'recently' hit the issue of attachment size limits (5MB). My current work around is to have the end user upload the document to a document library in the same site and then copy/paste the link in the form (These attachments are being collected via a repeating table). The request from my client is to remove the end user responsibility of uploading/copying/pasting the document information and instead make the workflow (or form, whichever) do it for them. I don't find this a strange ask, but I have encountered some issues. This process cannot change
In Nintex for SP2013/2016 in on-prem there is the action "Copy to SharePoint" which basically does the thing - it allows to copy attachments from particular XML nodes from Infopath form into a chosen SharePoint library. In O365 there is no such thing. I did some deeper analysis on the issue and realized, that:Infopath is storing attachments inside the XML file, converted to Base64 string; Infopath file cannot exceed 5MB in O365 otherwise it will not be saved…; The Base64 string does not only contain file contents, but according to the article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2517906 it does as well contain filename and some additional header information; There is no way to call javascript from Nintex Workflow (or is there any?). I thought, that maybe I can create a webpage with a javascript executed onload, however when reaching that page using “Web Request” action in Nintex (via the HTTP GET) it does not execute javascript code (what is understandable, as the HTTP GET request ge
