Plan to give Power Users the ability to create their own workflows or forms, but for governance (law or data protection) reason it like to implement a "process" to collect a commitment for activate or update a workflow from their hierachie or / and IT Governance Team. Is there any option to realize this?
I have set custom workflow statuses using the Set Workflow Status action, and it works correctly thru 5 or 6 action sets all the way to the end. However, the final status, when I set it change to "Completed" to match the internal status, it gets treated like a change to the item and causes the change workflow to loop. I tried putting it in several different layers of nested action sets and "run-if"s, but no matter where I put it, if it's at the end of the workflow it loops. I found one post that sounds like the same thing is occurring when status updates are made for Library documents and the work-around was to set the status, then mark the document checked in, but I don't know what I can do to a list item that wouldn't also be seen as a change and cause the change workflow to loop. I tried adding a log entry action after it, but no luck. Same result adding a "Pause for Duration" after it. This is really driving me crazy! I like having all of the steps of the workflow shown in the cus
Hi! I have a workflow with some Assign Flexi Task. All Flexi Task sends e-mail to members of a group. There are about 10-20 members of the group. When the e-mail arrived to the members, I checked the Workflow Tasks list and these e-mails tasks status still in "Not Started" condition. Only two e-mail tasks status change to "In progress" condition. If I wait about half an hour or one hour the other tasks status will be changed to "In progress", but not always. It often takes several hours for the status to change. And the more members a group has, the slower the status of tasks changes.  This is not a one-time problem, it always happens. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Thanks for the help!
Details: Component1 workflow is called from a list workflow and component2 workflow is called from component1 workflow. Note1: component1 working getting trigger successfully however, component2 workflow is not getting triggered.Error message: Note 2: If I run list workflow manually then there is no issue. All workflows get triggered.
I need assistance in configuring the "Office 365 Update Item Permissions" action. I want to set permissions for multiple users in one run but without using a Sharepoint or Security group.Means I have different variables with stored email addresses which I want to insert in the "users" field inside the action. It works if I add one variable (text) with one user, but it does not work with multiple users. The documentation tells me I can add one or more users but it does not tell me which separator to use or if they need to be in one variable. The users or groups that will have permission to access the item. If User selected as Target, specify one or more email addresses. If Group selected as Target, specify one or more SharePoint group names.  So please can anyone help me how to configure the action so I can set permissions for multiple users in one run? What separator to use? Thank you in advance!
I am working with a client on a large list that utilizes many choice fields. The choice field values displayed without issue on the display and edit forms. The moment the choice field values were updated and rearranged, all choice fields displayed without values. All choice fields that were updated do not show a value. Within the list, the values are present. Does anyone know how to re-link the choice values to the display and edit Nintex forms?
Hello everyone I want to attach a file to an emailI have created a variable to build a string with the URL for the file  I've added the URL to the email in the attachments section  The email terminates with "Attachment file URL is not valid for: UKMP-18,035-Sketch.jpg"Even though i can click and open the file from the history step?  Any ideas? Regards Geoff  Â
Form button - missing Redirect URL field when Button action is JavaScript. Is this be design? I have javascript to allow the form to save as draft. However I'd still like the redirect URL.
Hello,I would like to pull in a person's manager using UserProfileLookup. This works fine "outside" the repeating section, but I cannot get it to work inside the repeating section. I have tried using a People Picker field as well as a Label and setting up a rule with a variable that uses the UserProfileLookup, and I could not get either to work in the repeating section. My variable looks like this:varNominatorMgr - userProfileLookup([Form].[Nominator],"Manager") When I run a rule to set my control to varNominatorMgr, it shows fine outside the repeating section, but not inside. Does anyone have any idea why this is not working, or a workaround?  Does anyone knowÂ
getQueryStringParameter() returns empty an value. Is there some place in the New Form URL that the query parameter should be placed?
I have a form that will be triggered from another site via a link which we will add to the URL some data points which we want to parse out and plug into fields on our form upon opening. The string added looks something like this:    DataIn=Company%20Owned|US%20OU%20USD%20TCS||9876543|||234567||||345678|||||CUSTOMER%NAME%...aspxWe currently do this via an InfoPath form using the below formulas for each field (see screen shot).   substring-before(DataIn, "|")   substring-before(substring-after(DataIn, "|"), "||")   substring-before(substring-after(DataIn, "||"), "|||")   We want to do the same thing in a Nintex Form (using Responsive Designer) but are struggling with this. I'm assuming I'll need to create some kind of variable and saw a parse function but can't figure out the formula...HELP! Is that the right formula, how do I "convert" it...the length of the field inputs varies☺.
Using responsive designer, is there a way that we can compare two date fields in Nintex Office365? Requirement is that the first date should be less than second date and second date should be less than third date and so forth..
In my nintex form on a SharePoint list, i have added multiple attachment fields at different stages of the process, and given them different names. I'd like to pull out attachments from just one of those attachment fields and send them in an email from the nintex workflow (instead of attaching EVERY attachment) Is this possible today?
I am wanting to create a task for the assignee to simply acknowledge work has been completed, only having one response. I was able to do this in the SharePoint 2013 workflow. Can this be done in O365 workflow?
Hello, I need to crate a form in O365 with buttons that can change item field. I want to combine it with Nintex workflow, so instead of opening task to the user, I want just to send a mail inviting the user to update the form with some data and when the user perform the update the form should be saved and a field should be changed with a click of a button and my workflow will wait for this field update. All suggestions are welcomed, maybe this can be done with JavaScript, I will be very happy to get some samples. Cheers,Ivan
I have column called Location number. if user added 5 in the location number in list A. I have to create 5 new items in List B. Based on the location number , i have to create a item in List B. Â Please Anyone help;
Issue 1: Recipients can only be 1To use the Nintex Docusign Populate Template action, I can only add 1 signature. Even trying to implement a weekly timecard for Employee and Manager to sign is limited to 1 signature.  I've read reshmeeauckloo post on using a Web Request action and have a Docusign developer account and will test that out but would really like to avoid the complexity it adds to supporting workflows.  This seems easy to add to an Docusign Populate Template action by adding the same number of Recipients and their Role that the Docusign Template has.  My use case is to have Management, Finance and IT sign off on data submitted by the business before it is added to downstream live systems for use in commerce. All recipients need to sign off on the accuracy of the data before it can be added to the system(s). Issue 2: Docusign Authorize Access email when you already have a Production AccountAdditionally, the "Authorize Access to DocuSign Account for DocuSign retrieve envel
In relation to the announcement made by Microsoft regarding SharePoint 2010 workflow retirement for Microsoft 365, Nintex Workflow for Office 365 is not impacted by the SharePoint 2010 workflow retirement. To note:Nintex Workflow for Office 365 is not impacted as it does not leverage the SharePoint 2010 workflow engine to run its workflows. Nintex Workflow On Premises is not impacted as the retirement only applies to Microsoft / Office 365 platform. For more information or assistance, please reach out to Nintex Support.
In our non O365 instance, we would drag update list item onto the stage, and if it was a choice column, we could select the choice we wanted to update to...simple. Best example: status is "New", workflow needs to update that status to "Started" (which is available as a choice in that column). There doesn't seem to be a clear / easy way to get that done in the O365 version. Set Field in Current Item seems like an endless loop if you're looking to bump from one choice to another. Any ideas? In my head, it looks like Set Field: Current Item: Field (Status): here are your choices - what do you want to set it to?
Hello,When you assign a task to a group of people, how can you tell who responded to the task? In the branch of the Task Process action I would like to add this persons name to a field in the list. We are using Lazy Approval.Thank you,Matt
Can anyone help with providing the best solution for creating a site or list workflow in O365 to generate an email on a quarterly basis to all of the users collected in a specific column? The Calculate Date function is not available in O365 and I am looking for a workaround. Specifically, I have a list that is populated through a form that is completed by hiring staff and I would like to ping each of the submitters quarterly to request updates on the status of the staff.
Hi All,in the action "Start A Task Process" there is an option to import a form .nfp or .xml file. For exported from other online workflows .nfp files it can be done succesfully. For downloaded from on-prem workflow .xml file it does not work. When I click on the Import nothing happens - it is stucked. In the Console there are some errors (see attached picture).I have the same lists - which were migrated from onprem to online. Do you have any clue what could I do in that case? I have lots of forms to move and it would really help me.Â
Hello, I have searched the forum several times, tried some suggestions but still cannot get this right. I'm trying to save the value of a lookup dropdown which is prepopulated from a querystring. Here is my code: var myParam = "";NWF.FormFiller.Events.RegisterAfterReady(function(){JSRequest.EnsureSetup();myParam = JSRequest.QueryString['ProjectID'];//alert('myParam = ' + myParam);PopulateProjectTitle(myParam);});function PopulateProjectTitle(myParam){var endTime = Number(new Date()) + 20000; // try for 20 secondsvar interval = 500;(function p(){// If the condition is met, we're done!if (ProjectLoaded()){var proj = NWF$("#" + Project).val(myParam);NWF.FormFiller.Functions.ProcessOnChange(proj);//make Project field read-only after populating//NWF$("#" + Project).prop('readonly',true);}// If the condition isn't met but the timeout hasn't elapsed, go againelse if (Number(new Date()) < endTime){setTimeout(p, interval);} else {// don't set the default value, the user will have to setretur
I ran into a small problem where i needed to delegate the assignedTo on a task.I found various articles, even one that looked promising Delegation  However when i created the query list it is not populating the variables properly for AssignedTo and ModifiedBy. I attemped to use a Workflow text variable but the workflow stalled with error. Details: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the workflow instance. We have a simple requirement that after the item is created and submitted for Approval, the item should be made readonly for the creator, and after the Approver approves the items it would remain that way however if Approver needs changes the create should be able to change the item. So based on who the Item is assigned to only the assignee person/group should be able to change it and rest of the people should be able to view it.  Does Nintext has any best practice or guide line for this ?  Also Considering that in rare situation when the workflow goes into error , admin should be able to move the workflow back one stage or restart without needing to fiddle with item permission?
